LifeTree Ministries (LTM) is an apartment ministry for refugees where Christians work together to fulfill Christ’s mandate. AS a Christ-centered ministry, we seek to share the love of God and build relationships among refugee communities in the apartments in the Houston area.
LTM started with one people group, Bhutanese at the Los Arcos Apartment in July 2014. Since then many different refugee groups arrived in Houston that reshaped our community. We now serve in two apartments with many different people groups such as Bhutan, Myanmar, Congo, Tanzania, Rwanda, Iraq. God is sending the world to us so that we can join Him in a global mission right here in Houston.
We have two different locations.
Los Arco and Sun Blossom Mt. Apartment. Two locations have services of:
- Afterschool Program
The challenge of finishing the homework is helped by volunteers tutoring as they work together after school - One-on-One
TutorialIndividual academic tutorials are provided for specific needs of the students. - VBS
Vacation Bible School is conducted at the Los Arcos each summer - Youth Discipleship
Refugees youths have a critical need for Biblical principles in their lives. Through this program our volunteers teach how to avoid unhealthy temptations and guide them to learn social skills which will help them grow to become wholesome, responsible individuals in American society. - ESL Class
The refugees desperately need to learn English to find employment and adjust to a new culture. Adults ESL classes incorporate Bible stories in English lessons. - Citizenship Class
The refugees receive Permanent Residency Card upon arrival but do not have passports until they become citizens. LTM offers citizenship preparation class
